James “Jim” F. Mooney, 83, of Great Falls, a retired teamster and Montana Air National Guard Veteran, passed away Sunday, May 20, 2012 at a local hospital from natural causes.

No services will be held. Inurnment will take place at St. Luke’s Catholic Cemetery in Clearwater, MN at a later date. Cremation has taken place under the direction of O’Connor Funeral Home.

Jim was born July 31, 1928 in Clearwater, MN to Edward and Margaret Mooney. At the age of 14, Jim and his family moved to Montana. After living in the Poplar area for many years, Jim made his home in Great Falls. He is survived by his brother, Eddie Mooney of Phoenix, AZ; sisters, Terry Herron, Mertice (Bill) Gohman, and Kay (Dean) Hinkemeyer, all of Clearwater, MN, and Pat (Bruce) Cardinal of Andover, MN; special friends, Roy and Bonnie Harvie and their family; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters; and two brothers.
