Obituary for George Paul Bermudez

George Paul Bermudez was born on August 2, 1945, in Cantua Creek, California. He was born to Esther R. Diaz and Polo Bermudez.

He went to Edison High School, and he was an all-around sports player. He played football, baseball, basketball, wrestling, and ran track. He graduated from Maryland University with a Bachelor’s degree. He worked at the corner grocery store to earn money for his school clothes.

George joined the army at the age of 17, went to basic training, and then he was sent to Vietnam. He returned to the United States after the war, and was stationed at Ft. Hood, TX under 82nd engineers. In 1981, he was stationed in Bamberg, Germany, where he met his loving wife, Kaethe.

They both returned to the United States in 2005, and started their new life in Great Falls, Montana. He continued to work for the armed forces as a government employee for another 10 years. After his retirement, he loved to travel, and spoil his wife on shopping sprees.

George loved to go fishing on his small boat even though he would always throw his catch back into the lake. He would assist his wife, Kaethe, with the Pet Paw-See animal rescue group. He loved his animals. His all-time favorite past time was watching RAW wrestling! He ignored everyone when it was WrestleMania time. A bowl of popcorn and a drink, it was on!!

After he became ill with diabetes and other health issues, he had a stroke. He was admitted to Benefis long term facility and remained there until his death.
George was preceded in death by his wife, Kaethe; his mother, and several siblings

George leaves behind his sister, Lupe Aguilar-Oftedal and her husband, Martin; sister, Margaret Salazar and her husband, Paul; daughter, Carolyn Fitch and her husband, Daniel; sons, George Paul Bermudez, Jr., Allan Karl Bermudez; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
