Obituary for Mary Louise Johnson

Mary Einan Johnson continued onto to her next adventure on May 20, 2020. She had her family and many friends waiting for her in heaven. No services are planned.

Mary was always proud of her date of birth on 11/22/33. She married William Johnson and gave birth to five children. She raised her children to face the world head-on, and not to sit around waiting for someone to do something for you that you could do for yourself.

Mary stayed active and made friends wherever she lived. She always cherished times spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. Some favorite memories of grandma include: baking sugar cookies with the “magic glass”; watching goofy British shows; DQ runs; learning to quilt; morning snuggles between grandma and grandpa when they lived on the farm; dress up tea parties; painting toe nails and dog toenails at the farm; her ability to cook great food using everything and anything with a few surprises thrown in; going for pizza once a month with her rolling cooler in tow; and going on car rides and stopping along the road for picnics. When grandma drove, she was cheered on with “Go Granny Go”. She would giggle over the Lake Havasu obituaries with the saying “odtoa”. She loved collecting cards and postcards and showing them off.

Mary leaves behind her family; her quilting friends; her good neighbor and friend, Nellie; and her faithful, constant companion, Flame. Memorials may be made to Peace Hospice, Redeemer Lutheran Church “quilters”, or the memorial of your choice. As she always said “I’m out of here!”
