Dorothy Theresa Phillippe, 92, of Great Falls, passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at a local hospital. A funeral liturgy will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 28, 2016 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Dorothy was born to Polish Immigrants John and Angeline Kempa, on December 29, 1923. Dorothy grew up in Great Falls, graduated from Great Falls High in 1942. After graduation she worked at the Great Northern Railroad. She married Lester Phillippe in Great Falls on February 24, 1950 and lived in Great Falls until 1962. They relocated to Santa Clara California and were employed at Lockheed Missiles and Space for 25 years retiring in 1987. They moved to Southern California to be close to their grand kids. Montana was their favorite place to vacation, visiting each summer. When Les died in November of 1992, Dorothy moved back to Great Falls and resided in the Meadow Lark Country Club area up until her passing. Dorothy is survived by her only son Jerry (Patti) of Austin; brother Dan Kempa of Great Falls; four grandchildren: Chris, John, Mark, and Theresa; and four great granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her sisters and brothers: Frank, Mrs. Ray (Helen) Popiel , Joseph, Benjamin, William, Mrs. Eddie (Rose) Spesock, Bernard, Stanley, and George.
