George Allen Chord

George Allen Chord, 73, of Great Falls, Montana, passed away on September 17, 2026.

George was born on July 28, 1953, to Calvin and Eloise Chord. He proudly served in the United States Navy before continuing his education in Havre, Montana, where he earned his bachelor’s degree. Following his studies, he built a fulfilling career as an engineer in the construction industry, dedicatedly spending 30 years with the same company.

An avid history buff who valued a quiet and independent life, George found great joy in the simple things. He loved the outdoors – especially hiking and hunting - and held a lifelong affection for animals. He generously supported various animal organizations and causes, but above all, he cherished his own dogs, who were a central part of his life.

George is survived by his sisters, Dorothy and Deb; niece; nephews; and their extended families. He was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Eloise Chord.

In keeping with George’s wishes and the simple way he lived his life, no services will be held.

He will be deeply remembered by all who knew and loved him, especially for the profound kindness he showed to animals throughout his lifetime.
