Gervase Ann Darcy, 83, of Great Falls passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2015 from natural causes. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 15, 2015 at O’Connor Funeral Home from 5 pm to 7 pm. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 16, 2015, at 12 pm at Corpus Christi Catholic Church with burial to follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Gervase was known by many of her friends and family as Sal or Sally. She was born September 6, 1931 in Lewistown and was married to Ted Brown in 1950. They had five children and moved to Great Falls in 1965. They were divorced in 1970. Gervase worked in the medical field as a nurse’s aide originally at St. Joseph’s in Lewistown and later at the Columbus Hospital in Great Falls. She pursued her education in medicine and became a registered Respiratory Therapist in 1974. She retired in 1993 and occupied some of her time by volunteering at the Lewis and Clark Interpretative Center and at Saint Luke’s Church. Gervase enjoyed working in her flower gardens, especially her rose garden, and loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed working on embroidered blankets for many of her grandchildren as they were born. She liked meeting with her close friends for dinner on a regular basis. They would refer to themselves as “The Mixed Nuts”. Gervase is survived by her daughter, JoAnn Humphery of Great Falls; sons Mike Bosworth of Stevenson Ranch, CA, Theodore (Mick) Brown of Great Falls, and C. Jeffrey Brown of Black Eagle; brothers Joe Darcy, Jeff Darcy, and Thomas Darcy; sister Francie Morton; and 15 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emmett and Frances Darcy; sister Mary Darcy; brothers Dan Darcy and Mike Darcy; daughter Christine Munson; and grandson Chuckie Humphery.
