JoAnn Preciado, 88, of Great Falls, Montana, passed away on July 7, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 9, 1937, in Galveston, Texas, to Fred Reed and Lila Louise Dever.
A vigil will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. A funeral liturgy will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 17, 2026, also at Holy Spirit followed by niche placement in the Holy Spirit Columbarium.
JoAnn lived a life defined by kindness, generosity, and devotion to those she loved. She had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel at home. Whether family, friends, or someone she had just met, all were welcomed through her door with warmth, compassion, and a genuine spirit of hospitality. Her home was a place of comfort, laughter, and cherished memories that will remain with those fortunate enough to have known her.
She dedicated much of her life to raising her family. Later, she worked as a school bus driver, where her dependable nature and personality made a lasting impression on those she served.
JoAnn found great joy in cross-stitch and other forms of needlework. Her beautiful, handcrafted creations reflected her creativity, and the love she poured into everything she made. Many family members and friends will continue to treasure these gifts as lasting reminders of her.
She is survived by her loving husband, Michael Preciado; daughter, Kimberly Visokey; grandchildren, Elizabeth McKinney, Armand Moore and his wife Tiffani, Susan Gomez and her husband Alex, and Melody Visokey; and cherished great-grandchildren, Orion McKinney, Gabe McKinney, Davyan Moore, Thanyr Moore, Kaidynce Moore, Lucas Gomez, and Mateo Gomez.
She was preceded in death by her beloved children, her son, Michael Preciado Jr. and daughter, Cheryl Preciado.
Though she is no longer with us, the love she gave, the traditions she created, and the memories she leaves behind will continue to live on in the hearts of her family for generations to come.
