Lily Vina Kapphan

Lily V. Kapphan of, 89, of Helena, MT, passed away after a brief illness. A graveside service will take place at the Malta Cemetery, in Malta, MT, on July 24, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. Lily was born on July 24, 1929 in Bowdoin, Montana to Joseph and Laura Wisemer. On September 5, 1945, she married Melvin Kapphan and they lived in various towns before moving to Great Falls where she worked for Headstart. They moved to Helena where Lily worked for different child care facilities. Lily took great joy in her crafts and she loved roses and lilies. Lily is survived by daughters Bonnie Kapphan of Helena, MT, Marjorie (Gene) Gittins of Oregon, Joann Domenget of Colorado Springs, CO, Jackie (Al) George of Rifle, CO, Sherry (John) Lanier of Billings, Kelly Mangus of Helena; sons, Robin Kapphan of Great Falls, Joe (Amiee) Kapphan of Helena, Timmy (Dawn) Kapphan of Simms; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, andcousins Lily was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin; sons, Melvin E. Kapphan, Jr. and Ernest V. Kapphan; daughter, Sharon K. Cromer; sisters, Lauretta Harper and Jolene Adams; mother, Laura Wismer; and father, Joseph Wismer.
