Mari Kathleen Stratton

Mari Kathleen Stratton, née Crowley, passed away on September 13, 2026, in Great Falls, Montana. She was born on January 23, 1958, in Glasgow, Montana.

Mari will be remembered with love and tenderness by those who knew her, and her passing leaves a lasting sorrow in the hearts of family and friends. Her life began in eastern Montana, and she remained forever connected to the places and people who shaped her story. She was a crew caller and clerk for both BNSF and Amtrak all along the Hi-Line.

She was active in the BNSF Hi-Liners for most of her life. She loved collecting antiques. Many times, she could be found looking for a new treasure throughout the Havre community. When she wasn’t on the hunt for antiques, Mari would be enjoying what Montana had to offer while camping and fishing with family and friends. She enjoyed puttering in her yard and setting up in a quiet place to draw or paint. She had a very giving nature and would donate to whatever organizations needed her help. Whether it was with a donation or lending a helping hand.

Mari is survived by her husband, Marty and son, Charles both of Havre; brother, Charles Crowley Jr of Chinook; sisters, Gil (Jim) Sopor of Plains, Marie A. Lyons of Peoria, AZ, and Lizabeth Keeling of Havre; mother, Marie Crowley also of Havre; grandchildren, Demitri, Autumn, Sam, and Michael Stratton; and many nieces, nephews, and good friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Crowley; sister, Lori Nowel; and by her father and mother-in-law, Fred and Phyllis Stratton.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at the Tip It Bar in Havre. As family and friends gather to remember Mari Kathleen Stratton, they will hold close the memory of her life and the place she will always keep in their hearts. May her memory bring comfort to all who mourn her passing.
