Melvin Willard Rennick

Melvin W. Rennick, 87, of Belt, Montana, passed away on September 22, 2026, at his home.

He was born on June 3, 1939, in Glasgow, Montana, to William Rennick and Alice F. Horne. Melvin was a high school graduate and spent his working life in construction as a contractor and master fabricator. He enjoyed working with steel and was known for his skill as a fabricator. Mel was an experienced heavy equipment operator. He made his home in Belt.

Melvin married Bonita Mitchell in 1960; they later divorced. A man of quiet faith, Melvin loved the Lord and sought to follow God throughout his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son-in-law, Carl DeKoning.

Melvin is survived by his daughters, Vicky DeKoning, Julie (Dan) Doran, and Stephanie (Alan) Guerrero; seven grandchildren, Aliese, Angie, and Patrick DeKoning, Savanna Collins, Michael and Makenzie Doran, and Mia Guerrero; and six great-grandchildren, Kenna Allery, Gemma DeKoning, Isabelle and Dean Doran, and Georgia and Adelin Collins.

Private graveside services for the family will be held Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Pleasant View Cemetery in Belt, MT, followed by a celebration of life at 11:00 a.m. at the Belt Senior Center.
