Norman C. White

Norman C. White, 87, passed away October 10, 2014, in Evans, CO. Norman C. White was born in Great Falls, MT on September 26, 1927, to Norman “Pat” and Catherine White of Augusta. He attended school in Augusta. He joined the U.S. Army in 1945, serving in Germany and Washington State. While in the Army he studied on the farm training and mechanics. After the Army he worked at the Anaconda Co. in Great Falls. He was also employed by various farm equipment companies. After retiring, he worked at Walmart. Norman loved hunting, fishing, small engine repair and telling his awesome stories. In 1953-1962, he married Rosetta Miller. He is survived by his daughters, Cathie (Tony) Barrientos of Severance, CO, Pattie White, of Plains, PA; and Norma (Pat) OConnell of Chicago, IL; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brothers Harold (Bonita) White of Augusta and Ken White of Augusta. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He married Shirley Gebhardt in 1963. Survivors are her children, Vicky (Mike) Trine of Great Falls; Rita McDonald of Wapato, WA; Larry Gebhardt of Great Falls and Shirley Gebhardt of Conrad. Norman had 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild who have survived him. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Shirley; brothers Emery and Donald; and nephew Brent. Services for Norman will be held at a later date.
