Sheri was born February 3, 1962, in Great Falls to Gerald and Dee Smith. She attended school in Great Falls and earned her GED. She worked several jobs through the years until a back injury made working difficult. She was married for a time to Mike Lukas and through that union her son Brennan, the light of her life, was born. Sheri was preceded in death by, her paternal and maternal grandparents, her father, Gerald and her mother and stepfather, Dee and Jim Regian. Sheri is survived by her son, Brennan of Georgia; her sister, Diane (Don) Torgerson of Great Falls; brother, Richard Smith of Seattle; and niece, Karen Anderson and her children, Jack, Andrew, Olivia, and Zachary of Helena. She is also survived by several cousins and her beloved animals, Risky, Sis and Ben. Sheri had many health issues through the years that limited her. We are very grateful to her friends for being there for her, especially Cheryl. Cremation has taken place and no services are planned. We know it would make Sheri happy if donations were made to the Humane Society. Dear Mom, As I watch the waning sunlight cascade on the endless seas of white clouds and snow cover mountains backed by the blue and darkening sky I ponder what you have seen and where you will be. Free of laden weights and bounds I hope you have found peace. It’s our light that guides us and our darkness that propels us to seek the next day in challenge. Your next day has come and with that you have found the answer to life’s great mystery. Tread not on your time wondering but run your heart out and enjoy the moments within moments and look down upon your time and smile. You have done well, far better than anyone could have asked for and a life fully lived. An a mother to those that need one. You never know what comes from the lessons taught but I know that lessons left untaught will be learned. We who unconditionally love you will forever hold a piece of you with them. Gone but never forgotten. ASNF. Brennan.
