Sonni Dawn LaFromboise

Sonni Dawn LaFromboise passed away surrounded by her family the morning of February 4, 2026.

Sonni was born to Lia and Dan LaFromboise in Helena, Montana on August 31,1969. Sonni attended grade school at Craig Elementary School and transferred to Cascade Public School for middle and high school. She graduated in the class of 1987. After high school, she attended Great Falls College and received her associates degree. She moved to Georgia for a brief time, then spent many years in Pheonix, AZ and finally settled in Los Angeles, CA for most of her adult life. Sonni loved the warm weather, tacos, music, and big city life in Los Angeles.

She enjoyed designer fashion including clothes, perfumes, and handbags. She had a unique sense of humor and lived her life to the tune of her own drum, likely that of an 80’s hair band. Sonni returned to Montana the last years of her life and resided with her parents. She worked for multiple mortgage companies over her career, and her recent years were spent working for the state of Montana with DPHHS.

Cat rescue was a passion of Sonni’s all her life, she cared for a great many animals in her lifetime. She will be missed by her family, whom she left too soon. We take some comfort that she is reunited with all her beloved pets.

She was preceded in death by her father, Dan LaFromboise. She is survived by her loving mother, Lia LaFromboise; brother, Dusty LaFromboise; sister, Lisa LaFromboise; nieces, Mariya LaFromboise (Devon) and Cassy LaFromboise (Kasey and Karley); and her cat son, Bob.
