Susan "Sue" Carol Nichelson

Susan “Sue” Carol Nichelson (Gaspar-Weigel), passed away on January 18, 2021, of complications from COVID-19. Susan was born on January 1, 1949, and spent her entire life in Great Falls, the city that she loved. Sue enjoyed a simple life and time spent crocheting, knitting, sewing, playing pinochle, spending time with family, traveling with Nick and cooking. In 1968, Sue married Joseph Gaspar and they had three children, Jennifer, Adam, and Abby. Later in life, Sue married Nick Nichelson, who preceded her in death last year. Sue’s greatest legacy is that of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, in which she had great pride. She especially enjoyed spending time and special occasions with them. Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and June Weigel and her older sister, Barbara Barry. She leaves behind three children, Jennifer Griffith-Moran of Herndon, VA, Adam Gaspar of Great Falls, and Abby Blaquiere of Laurel; 10 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren as well as, brother, Rick Weigel of Eagle, ID; and Linda Busta of Sun City, AZ. Cremation has taken place and no services are planned. We know it would make Susan happy if donations were made to the Cascade County Humane Society.
