Obituary for Bernard "Bernie" E. Dickman

It is with a heavy heart and tears in our eyes that we mourn the passing of Bernard “Bernie” Edwin Dickman. On the afternoon of September 25, 2020, at the age of 67 years old, he took his last breath and went to the big bowling alley in the sky. Bernie will be honored and remembered by his wife, Deb, and children, Bernie Dickman and Amy Dickman. Bernie will also be lovingly remembered by his six grandchildren, Bernie, Zach, Peytan, Jaydon, Kyria, and Quinn; as well as family across the state that will fondly remember him.

Bernie was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia; father, Bernie; brothers, Dave and Gerald; and many other family members.

He loved bowling, whether he was with his bowling buddies, his wife, Deb, or even at some tournaments with his children. He served 22 years in the Marine Corps and created his own home repair business. He made some amazing furniture out of wood that he would sell at the local Farmer’s Market. He was a proud member of the Elks Lodge and the Eagles. He was always willing to help a veteran in need with either a job or emotional support. He helped with the Veteran’s Court from time to time. He was a die-hard Broncos and Grizzly football fan.

Bernie was always a dedicated father, husband, and a friend to the community. He had very strong values and showed that he cared for the people around him. Bernie’s family and this community are at a great loss without the love and the support he showed and shared. We will always remember and never forget what he did.

“Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure, you are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure” -- Renee Wood
